After a career as a librarian, Jane Whitney has followed her passion for conservation and the outdoors, in large part via the Wisconsin Master Naturalist program; so much so that her amount of hours in service has made her Wisconsin's top Master Naturalist. The passion she exudes for exploring, understanding, and conserving the natural world is refreshing in an often chaotic and human-centered existence while her quick-witted authenticity draws you in immediately. It is easy to see why so many have chosen to partake in hikes guided by her. In this episode, Brad and Jane discuss Wisconsin's Master Naturalist program, citizen science, her love of plants, conservation, and her self-described "failing" at retirement. https://wimasternaturalist.org/ https://doorcountypulse.com/the-master-naturalist/
